Here's how CollabScene works
Same flow for everyone. No middlemen, no commission, no surprises.
- Zero commission, ever
- Direct brand-creator deals
- Live now
The 4-step flow
01
Brands post briefs
A brand posts a collaboration brief with everything visible upfront: the product, the deliverables (Instagram reel, UGC video, story takeover, whatever), the deadline, the budget, and the audience requirements they need. Creators see the full picture before they apply. No guessing.
02
Creators apply directly
Creators browse open briefs. When one fits, they apply with their portfolio and a short pitch. The brand sees who's interested, browses their work, and picks the creators they want to collaborate with. Direct conversation starts in the brand-creator inbox.
03
The work happens
The brand and creator finalize the terms (timeline, deliverables, payment) in their inbox. The creator delivers the content. The brand reviews. Standard professional workflow with no middlemen taking a cut.
04
Creators get paid in full
The brand pays the creator directly for the agreed amount. CollabScene takes zero commission. The creator keeps 100% of what was negotiated. We never touch the money between you.
A note on agreements
Price and payment terms are negotiated directly between brands and creators. The platform connects you, but the deal terms are yours to shape together. We strongly recommend hashing out details (timeline, deliverables, payment schedule, usage rights) before either side commits. Document everything through the platform inbox so there's a clear record.
We're actively building out legal infrastructure, including standard contract templates and dispute resolution support. Until then, please use your discretion and proceed only when both sides are confident in the terms.
Built for both sides
For creators
Creators do not pay to join, build a profile, browse, apply, be discovered or rank organically. These core participation features stay free, and CollabScene takes no commission on collaborations. Optional professional tools may be offered separately and will never affect participation or organic ranking.
Real briefs from real brands with budgets visible upfront. No more cold DMs to brand accounts that never reply. No more discovering the budget was way higher after the deal closed.
Your profile becomes your portfolio. Brands browse it before picking applicants. The work you do on CollabScene builds your credibility for the next brief.
For brands
Posting qualified briefs is free, and so is seeing every applicant. There is no posting fee and never a percentage of the deal. Optional paid tools exist for larger campaigns, but they are never required to post a brief, receive applications or review them.
Pre-vetted creators apply to your brief. You see their portfolio, their style, their audience, their rates. You pick who fits. No outreach hours, no cold DM hunting through Instagram.
Direct relationship with the creator. No agency in between filtering your communication, slowing down feedback cycles, or marking up the price.
How CollabScene makes money
CollabScene earns from optional brand tools. Campaign Unlock adds bulk applicant workflow and full export to one brief. Brief Boost adds targeted distribution to creators matched on profile criteria.
Posting qualified briefs, seeing every applicant and creator participation remain free. We take no commission, and we do not handle creator compensation — brands and creators arrange payment directly between themselves.
How CollabScene is different
The infrastructure for the creator economy that should already exist.
Most creator marketplaces work like agencies in disguise. They take 15 to 30 percent commission on every deal. They make money by inserting themselves between brands and creators. The bigger the deal, the bigger their cut.
We don't take a cut from creators. Ever. Posting qualified briefs is free too — we earn from optional tools brands can choose for larger campaigns. Commission stays at zero, always.
This means the platform's incentive is aligned with both sides. We make money when brands choose optional tools. Not when creators undercharge themselves to compete. Not when brands inflate budgets to absorb our commission.
The creator keeps 100% of what was budgeted for their work. Always.
Common questions
- From optional tools brands can choose for larger campaigns. Campaign Unlock adds bulk applicant workflow and full export to one brief. Brief Boost puts a brief in front of matched creators. Posting qualified briefs, seeing every applicant and creator participation all stay free, and commission stays at zero.
- Creators do not pay to join, apply, be discovered or rank organically, and we take no commission on collaborations. That is not a beta discount, it is how the platform works. Optional professional tools may be offered separately in future, but they will never affect participation or how creators rank.
- Price and payment terms are negotiated directly between the brand and the creator. CollabScene exists to bridge the gap and connect both sides, not to dictate rates. Brands set a budget when they post the brief. Creators decide if it fits their rate. Both sides hash out the specifics (payment schedule, deliverables, revision rounds, usage rights) in their direct conversation before either side commits. Our advice: hash out the details before accepting work. Read each other's terms carefully. Only move forward if both parties feel confident in what was agreed. We're working toward building out legal infrastructure, including standardized contract templates and dispute resolution support. For now, use your discretion and document agreements in writing through the platform inbox so there's a clear record.
- Brands and creators handle payment directly between each other. CollabScene does not collect, hold, route or disburse creator compensation, and takes no percentage of a collaboration. We facilitate the connection, the brief management and the relationship. Agree your payment terms in writing before work starts.
- Brands post briefs under a business account. Agree deliverables, rate and payment terms in writing through the platform inbox before work starts, so there is a clear record. If a brand does not pay a creator after work is delivered, report it to us and we can suspend their access to posting. CollabScene is not a party to the payment itself.
- Because cold DMs have a 3 percent reply rate, and brand teams spend hours per week hunting for the right creators. CollabScene puts pre-vetted creators in front of them with portfolios, rates, and audience data visible. Posting a qualified brief is free, so the comparison is against staff time, not against a fee.
- No follower minimum at launch. The platform is built for creators who do the work professionally, not for accounts chasing follower counts. A 5,000-follower UGC creator with great work can land the same briefs as someone with 50,000. Brands decide based on the work.
- CollabScene is live now. Creators can join and apply, and brands can post qualified briefs, today.
